A New Luxury Condo Tower is Coming to North Beach
February 23, 2015Welcoming millions of visitors each year, and thousands more residents, Miami Beach is at the epicenter of South Florida’s real estate boom. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the unprecedented number of exciting new condo developments to look forward to, the most recent being a still-unnamed luxury unit going up in the North Beach section.
Located at 8701 Collins Avenue, adjacent to North Shore Park and the beach, this Terra Group project will display the award-winning design of Italian architect Renzo Piano, who is replacing the previous submission by architect Allan Shulman.
The original plan would have preserved the existing Dezerland Howard Johnson hotel, which was designed by the renowned Albert Anis in 1951. The aging structure will now be demolished and the entire site cleared for the 64-unit luxury tower.
Given the recentness of this development, which awaits analysis by the Miami Beach Design Review Board next month, details are scarce but no less encouraging. Aside from its luxury classification, it promises a rooftop pool on the 17th floor – the better to enjoy the great beachfront views – and a 149-car underground garage, a big feature in densely populated Miami Beach. Landscaping will be done by the renowned Dutch firm West 8.
Moreover, Terra Group has a stellar reputation for innovation, and is behind such hotly anticipated projects as Grove at Grand Bay, Quantum on the Bay, and 900 Biscayne – all known for their lavish offerings and modern designs.
All that said, this project is sure to be worth the wait, adding yet another great addition to the vibrant Miami Beach Luxury Real Estate market. To learn more about this and other exciting Pre Construction Condos in Miami, contact Matt Crane at 305.203.0000 or matt@mattcranemiami.com.
